Dustin:

Now here’s a big change. It’s a color scheme and location change. I loved it. I was sick of drawing the inside of that train for the past few pages.

I’ve tried to improve my cel coloring a bit with this one. I hope I’ve suceeded. I had a lot of fun doing the backgrounds, and the cobblestones weren’t as difficult to paint than the wood was on the last few pages. I thought they were going to be worse.

I didn’t have to spend a whole lot of time on this page. Other things got me sidetracked.

Oh! Still don’t know what’s going on? You will soon enough. Everything will be explained. I’m sure to you all that what’s going on makes no sense whatsoever. All in due time.

Jeff:

Here we have Caperow—or at least its train station. The town is one of the few stops along the express route winding its way more or less directly across the vast Augslyn Empire. Relatively few people live there, but many vacation, due in large part to the natural beauty of its surroundings and the quiet—yet conveniently located—atmosphere.

Jahn isn’t there to vacation, of course; it’s just a stop along the way. Unfortunately for him, he’s no more welcome here than he was in the East.
