First off I’d like to say that I apologize for the rampant problems that have occurred throughout the day that have been caused due to my implementing a backend to handle the updating of the website more efficiently. This post isn’t made using that new system since it’s not completed, but I’ve had to rearrange a little bit of code to allow for it. I had to stop what I was doing in the middle of working on the code for personal reasons, so there has been an error on the website for some time caused by its loading of the incorrect HTML template. It’s since been fixed, and that’s probably the last anyone will see of the backend but us three idiots working on this manga.

There were also bugs having to do with the new Progress feature that I’ve implemented. At first I forgot to close the <div> element that held the Progress box, but then I forgot to tell it not to load the Latest Page box when there’s a progress image to be shown.

We decided to implement this Progress feature because of the criticism we’ve received by not updating often enough. We don’t have the resources to update very often, so the least we can do is show the progress with the manga page, so here it is.

Speaking of updating, we’ve decided to implement Atom feeds for the manga pages (both the completed and progress updates) and the news. For people with knowledge about syndication feeds (such as RSS) this will be a useful way to keep up with DP news without having to check back at the website for an update every time. You’d just get it with your news. I think that’s it, and hope you enjoy the new feature and look forward to the other new features spoke about in this news post.
