I promised that I’d say when I was going to start on the next page, and it is now. I’ve done some research, enough to begin this next page.

There was just a lot of stuff that we hadn’t done that we needed to complete before we began the page. We had to finalize the alphabet. There are three main languages in the human world in this manga and this alphabet needed to be able to write those three languages (perhaps four) since the alphabet is standardized by the imperial government that this story takes place under. We have it working with two, Rathic and L’Istessian. Those two are finalized and adding support for the other one (or two) won’t alter the current two already developed.

We’ve decided to go this far because to make it seem realistic and not just some random letters (what’s usually done) and words we’d have to flesh out an actual working alphabet and language behind it. We even have ideas to the historical backgrounds of he languages themselves. Yeah, shoot us.

On top of that right after I thought I was ready to develop the next page I realized that the monetary system wasn’t developed yet, so we’ve had to jump on that as well. Fortunately, we had ideas beforehand as to how the money was organized. I just had to design the coins themselves, one appearing on this next page.

Lastly what I had to research on was just what this next location would look like. I can’t just go jumping into a location without a really good knowledge about the location. We’ve had ideas for a while as to how this next location looked, but not an exact one. I had to do that part. It’s a really fun part to me because I get to design this location from what the people wear to what they’re walking on and to what decorations are prevalent in this community. You need to get a sense of what these people are like from what you see. I hope I’ve accomplished that. Well, I need to get back to work on the page. I hope to have it done sometime this century.
