I had an interesting night last night when I came home to see my secondary drive with my artwork on it crashed. Fun. Loads of fun. I have backups of the artwork, but they’re rather old. I ran out of DVDs to backup my artwork to. When I got some new DVDs I didn’t get back into the swing of things and backup my artwork. I am going to try any method I can to get my artwork off of the drive, even sending it off to a data recovery company to get the folder off of it.
I’m rather depressed. I’ve formatted my last large drive like that one time, losing all of my artwork then. I can tell you through experience accidentally formatting a drive and losing your data is much better than a hard drive crashing and a loss of data as a result. When I formatted that drive I cursed like a sailor. When that hard drive crashed I felt like going to fist city. This doesn’t keep me from doing new pages, but it sure doesn’t help and doesn’t provide any incentive to do so. I certainately hope I can get my artwork back, but if I can’t I’ll just move on.
Sorry about the messup with the permalink. I have it fixed now. Apparently I didn't include - and $ in allowed characters in my URI's. I also included # and + which is illegal in a URI, so I changed the system to replace those with -hash- and -plus- respectively.
