After a bit of blood, sweat, tears, and immense cursing of Internet Explorer 7, I got this site to work in it. Anything that is done through generated content in CSS will not be viewable in Internet Explorer 7 such as the unordered list bullets and the arrows added to the end of continued links. Also outline does not work in Internet Explorer 7, so the deep brown outlines around the hover status of the hyperlinks will not show. There might be some small quirks like added padding to the bottom of images. There’s nothing that can be done about that in Internet Explorer except hope Microsoft fixes it, but after two versions of the browser doing the same thing I very much doubt it. There might (or might not hopefully) be bugs that pop up from time to time. I will fix them in short order. Jeff and I did a lot to test this site so when we replaced the old code with the new one nothing would break.

This update also included improvements on the backend. I won’t go too deep into discussion about it because it could get long-winded and droll, but I did some rearranging to the code to better accomodate large sections of the site such as the upcoming Library section and the later planned Forums section.

As for the manga, the hard drive crash I experienced a couple of weeks ago has made it difficult. I’ve managed to do a bit of research despite the loss. I’m going through many different processes to attempt to get my information off my hard drive, and if I need to send it off to a data recovery center I certainately will. Despite attempting to get my lost data off the damaged drive, I will work as much as possible on the research for the next page. Jeff, Seung, and I still need to iron out some historical information and storyline before I delve off into designing various things on this next page. I want to make sure it fits with the story, afterall.

Also, If you weren’t able to visit this site last night it was because of DNS trouble on Dreamhost’s end. They fixed the problem in short order, but due to the nature of the internet it takes a while for ISP’s to recognize the change in domain servicing. This site does run off of two domains, dark-phantasy.com and darkphantasy.com, but both domains were affected by the mistake made by Dreamhost.
